This award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders
PHOENIX – Bill Ogden, Director, Global Supply Chain Accounts for Avnet’s strategic supply chain as a service (SCaaS) solutions business unit, has been named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2026 Pros to Know.
Ogden was awarded in the Leaders in Excellence category, which recognizes him as a tenured leader who’s made outstanding contributions to the supply chain space.
With over 30 years at Avnet, Ogden was the company’s first supply chain program manager and played a key role in shaping its supply chain management practices. Through his career, he has led transformative initiatives that delivered long-term value to Avnet’s customers while strengthening the company’s overall supply chain proposition.
Over the past year, Ogden has worked closely with global OEM customers to navigate growing complexity driven by tariffs, geopolitical shifts, and surging hyperscaler and data-center demand fueled by AI expansion. His work focuses on helping organizations anticipate supply constraints, strategically reposition inventory across regions, and align supply strategies with rapidly evolving technology demand.
“The impact of Bill’s work is clear: improved supply continuity, reduced exposure to volatility, faster program ramp-ups, and stronger, long-term customer partnerships,” said David Paulson, Global Vice President of Avnet Velocity. “His leadership has not only delivered measurable results for Avnet and its customers but has also helped shape the next generation of supply chain professionals. By combining strategic vision, hands-on execution and a commitment to education, Bill continues to set the standard for excellence in the supply chain industry.”
The annual Pros to Know award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for competitive advantage.
"When it comes to overcoming supply chain disruption, this year's pack of supply chain leaders left no stone unturned," says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “From AI implementation and warehouse automation to last-mile accuracy and returns management, they innovated, developed and executed on all cylinders, providing solutions, technologies and processes that move product from point A to point B in a way that almost seem seamless. And every year, I am honored to celebrate these supply chain professionals.”
