Avnet recognized by Frost & Sullivan for the third consecutive year for excellence in business processes and supply chain operations inU.S. and Canada
Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that it has been recognized with a 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award (ML Award) from global market research firm Frost & Sullivan in the “Supply Chain Leadership” category. Avnet was honored for its initiative, “Driving Converged and Integrated Supply Chain Solutions Success through Collaboration, Innovation and Communication.”
The initiative’s mission was to develop a forward-thinking strategy and model to provide a consistent and predictable experience for Avnet’s partners in support of the company’s growing converged, hyper-converged and integrated solutions business. It was designed to support partners’ abilities to innovate in a compressed lead-time environment, while delivering high-quality solutions and flexibility to manage constantly shifting business needs.
Through the initiative, Avnet consolidated end-to-end order fulfillment activities leveraging supply chain systems, tools, processes and best practices for converged, hyper-converged and integrated orders. Based on the success of this initiative, Avnet will be expanding it in the coming year to enhance its data center automation services for converged platforms in software-defined data centers and workload-oriented converged solutions.
