Avnet will now stock HPE servers, creating a one-stop shop for Avnet’s HPE partners in the U.S.
Avnet,
Inc. (NYSE: AVT),
a leading global technology distributor, announced today that it is now
stocking select Build-to-Order (BTO) servers from Hewlett Packard
Enterprise (HPE). Avnet’s partners in the U.S. will have stronger
capabilities to meet the growing need for ready-to-ship server
solutions. When combined with Avnet’s leading Configure-to-Order (CTO)
capabilities, partners will now have a single source for all their HPE
solutions needs, providing ease of doing business, more specific partner
and end-user opportunities, increased outbound sales efforts, and the
ability to leverage Avnet’s BTO, CTO and Smart Buy programs – whether
their sales opportunities are simple or complex.
Avnet will carry a selection of HPE servers and blades, and related
options, including the following:
-
HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 Server
-
HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server
-
HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server
“Avnet’s new full-distribution of these HPE offerings provides our
channel partners with a single stop for all their HPE purchasing needs,”
said Greg Peterson, vice president of Avnet’s HPE solutions business in
the Americas. “With three kinds of purchasing opportunities – fully
customized, transactional, and using BTO items for custom opportunities
with optional integration, Avnet is the preferred channel choice for
speeding time to solution for server-based projects.”
Avnet’s inventory of HPE servers and blades will be warehoused at and
shipped from its Global
Solutions Center, a state-of-the-art 228,000-square-foot integration
and logistics facility located in Chandler, Ariz. This will benefit
partners by providing faster delivery, simplified price quoting, quicker
customer project implementations and streamlined operations, and
ultimately, reducing the efforts of partners who have been going to
multiple sources or splitting orders.
“Avnet has been a trusted partner of ours for more than 10 years, and
their forward-thinking programs and services have helped us leverage our
expertise to create solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations,”
said Chuck Farrow, vice president, Strategic Alliances at Logicalis, an
IT solutions and managed services provider and Avnet partner. “We now
have yet another option for our customers, as Avnet will keep the most
commonly requested HPE servers directly on hand, which will accelerate
shipment and allow our customers to succeed faster.”
