today announced its next generation of converged infrastructure
solutions powered by the 3rd Generation Intel® Core™
Processors – Ivy Bridge. Featuring SAP HANA®, Cisco®
data center technology and industry-leading storage, these solutions
harness the power of in-memory computing to allow companies to store,
process and analyze large data sets in real time. Available exclusively
through Avnet’s channel partners, the new converged infrastructure
solutions will initially be offered in the U.S. and Canada.

These high-performance analytics solutions combine SAP’s intelligent use
of in-memory computing and Cisco® blade and rack servers with
large-memory capacity, networking and virtualization. Additionally,
partners’ customers can select one of two storage options, EMC VNX5400
or NetApp FAS8040, to provide support for up to 16 terabytes (TB) of
optimized data. These Avnet-developed solutions provide cost-efficient
processing and analysis of large amounts of data in real time, giving
customers the ability to gain insight instantly into business
operations, respond quickly to changing priorities and reduce the costs
associated with the deployment of multiple data warehouses.
