Avnet Cares awarded nine community grants recently to nonprofit organizations addressing basic needs, STEM education and environmental efforts.
Avnet reviews grants on a quarterly basis and focuses on the areas of STEM, environment and communities in crisis.
Notably, Avnet awarded a $10,000 grant to Tempe Community Action Agency. TCAA serves the Tempe area with basic needs assistance, including food and shelter. Avnet partnered with TCAA on a community garden renovation as well, with 50 Avnet volunteers helping out over two days. Avnet is moving its corporate headquarters to Tempe later this summer.
