Avnet brought innovation and energy to Autodesk University 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, from Sept. 16-18. The annual Design & Make Conference drew more than 12,000 attendees from a wide range of industries, making it an ideal venue to showcase technology that streamlines design-to-production workflows.
As a marquee sponsor of the Factory Experience at Autodesk University, Avnet guided over 800 engineers through the process of designing and assembling the Autodesk MultiMeasure tool, which leveraged both Autodesk Fusion and Avnet’s add-in to provide engineers a robust design environment to jumpstart the factory experience.
Rogelio “Kello” Gonzalez, Applications Engineering Manager and bass guitarist, brought a musical twist to Avnet’s “Rock the Workflow” presentation with Chris Jackson, Global Vice President of Digital Strategy & Innovation which highlighted how Avnet is transforming design workflows across sectors. Gonzalez also showcased a live demonstration of Autodesk Fusion with the Avnet’s add-in, illustrating how they tackle some of the toughest obsolescence challenges in today’s electronics supply chains.
“I’m still energized,” said Chris Jackson, Global Vice President of Digital Strategy & Innovation. “It was rewarding to be part of Avnet’s presence at such a high-impact industry event. There was tremendous excitement around Avnet’s role in the Autodesk ecosystem, especially after our partnership was featured in multiple keynotes.”
Hackster.io added excitement with the Hackstercaster, a 3D-printed Strat-style guitar designed by Hackster Pro Jeremy Cook using Autodesk Fusion. The open-source instrument builds on the original Prusacaster design and includes structural upgrades, integrated lights and other enhancements.
Avnet’s participation throughout the week underscores the ongoing commitment to empowering engineers, makers and innovators shaping the future of technology.
