Seeed Studio launched the “IoT Into the Wild Contest for Sustainable Planet 2022” with Hackster.io to create more applicable, scalable, plug-and-play, and easy-to-deploy AIoT solutions to solve real-life challenges in the wild. With this contest, Hackster.io and Seeed will engage more open source technologists, global maker communities, and field experts (scientists, environmentalists, conservationists) to support UN’s 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The contest is supported by judges from Project 15 from Microsoft, Zambezi Partners, Edge Impulse, Fab City Foundation, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), and the Paradise International Foundation.
Contest participants can choose among the five inspiration categories for their project build:
- Climate Crisis Prevention/Mitigation
- Wildlife/Biodiversity Conservation
- Marine Conservation
- Open Science
- Sustainable Agriculture
Seeed is giving away 100 pieces of the all new Seeed Studio LoRaWAN Dev Kit for free to contest participants and awarding $10,000 worth of scale-up support to contest winner including product samples for on-site testing, product customization, manufacturing, and distribution services, technical and industrial-upgrade support, pilot project opportunities, marketing, funding, and investment opportunities.
Since 2008, Seeed Studio has worked closely with global technology ecosystems to provide hardware modules, devices, and related services. Hackster.io has 2M users to engage with “tech for good” campaign initiatives and use open tech to create more positive transformations for humanity pursuits.
