We’ve just rolled out a brand new resource for business leaders looking to transform their organization by harnessing the incredible potential of the Internet of Things (IoT). While IoT spending is expected to reach $745 million this year, 3 out of 4 organizations get stuck in proof of concept purgatory—because they’re just not ready to unlock the technology’s potential. There are more than a few pitfalls and stumbling points on the path to successful IoT implementation, but, fortunately, we just so happen to be an expert in navigating them. We’ve taken our cumulative expertise and bundled it up into a survey that can help a business determine just how ready they are to embark on an IoT deployment.

It’s a fairly common misconception, but to really get the most out of IoT, you’ll need to ensure you’ve got more than just your hardware and software situations in order. Our IoT self-assessment tool walks business leaders through every necessary consideration—project strategy, value proposition and business case, technology stack, workforce and partner needs, culture and change management, digital maturity, and best practices.

Once the questionnaire is completed (which should take no more than 20 minutes), our tool then calculates all of the responses to generate an IoT readiness status—Starting, Stuck or Ready. We then send out a carefully curated and custom selection of materials to help the user push forward from wherever they might find themselves in the IoT implementation process.

Ultimately, the goal of our new IoT self-assessment tool is to help businesses successfully integrate an IoT solution into their organization, and without succumbing to any of the several costly obstacles that can be standing in their way. When the stakes are this high, it’s best to seek out the assistance of a partner—especially if they’re an expert in the space, like us.
